§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe European Community has full competence for policy on the allocation of slots for take-offs and landings at airports. The legal framework for this is set out in EC Regulation 95/93 on common rules for the allocation of slots at Community airports. We are still awaiting a proposal from the Commission to revise the current slots regulation. The UK intends to take an active role in responding to that proposal in the Council of Ministers.
