Returns to the 1996–97 municipal waste management survey show that the following county and county borough councils use wheeled bins for refuse collection to varying degrees:

  • Caerphilly
  • Cardiff
  • Conwy,
  • Denbighshire
  • Gwynedd
  • Merthyr
  • Tydfil
  • Neath
  • Port Talbot
  • Newport
  • Rhondda Cynon Taff
  • Torfaen
  • Vale of Glamorgan
  • Wrexham and
  • Ynys Môn.
