What importance they attach to the early acquisition of natural immunity to gastro-enteric infections by the population; and what advice they offer, particularly to parents of young children. [HL2449]

The Government attach great importance to ascertaining the incidence of infectious gastrointestinal disease in the population and understanding the factors which may contribute to its occurrence, and we continue to monitor available information.
