§ The Prime MinisterThe Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster is co-ordinating action across the civil service and its agencies. A Ministerial Group (MISC 4), chaired by the President of the Board of Trade, is co-ordinating work to ensure that the national infrastructure is not damaged by the failure of electronic systems related to the 2000 date change. Secretaries of State are responsible for action within their own Departments.
