§ Mr. Doug HendersonWe have discussed the treatment of mentally and physically handicapped children with the Greek authorities. The Greek Health and Welfare Minister announced on 20 January that a bill was currently being drafted to reform the welfare system in Greece. The Greek Under-Secretary for Welfare has said712W that the national welfare system (PIPKA) is to be merged with the children's foundation (MITERA), so that services can be better organised.
