To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the future of the Royal Naval College. [20213]

Considerable progress has been made on establishing the arrangements for the future of this magnificent site. I have now agreed the financial terms whereby the Foundation will hold the site by a lease from the Greenwich Hospital. The Department for Culture, Media and Sport and my own are working closely with the Foundation with a view to concluding shortly a package of financial and other support.
