§ Ms Glenda JacksonMy Department does not hold copies of the contingency plans referred to in my previous answer, which are normally prepared and held by transporters of radioactive material, and I am therefore not able to place a copy of the plans in the Library.
The plans prepared by BNFL in the case of sea and air transport of MOX nuclear fuel are subject to a security classification and I am informed that they are not prepared to release copies of such plans. My hon. Friend may wish to approach BNFL directly in order to have sight of the contingency plans that he wishes to see.

§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe Fourth Report from the Standing Working Group to the Commission on the Safe Transport of Radioactive Materials in the European Union has recently been submitted to the Commission and will be submitted to the Council of Ministers, the European Parliament, the Economic and Social committee and the Committee of the regions. When the report becomes available a copy will be placed in the Library.
