§ Mr. GalbraithThe Government receive advice on national screening programmes from the UK National Screening Committee, which prioritises existing or future screening programmes against criteria which are internationally recognised. The Committee will consider national screening for diabetes, along with other possible screening programmes, in accordance with its developing work programme. Any future decisions on a national programme will be made in the light of those considerations.
