Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate he has made of the financial assistance offered to LG to invest in Wales; and if he will make a statement. [31014]

Mr. Hain

The total value of the assistance package offered to LG is estimated to be £247 million.

The LG project is an exceptional one promising over 6,000 direct new jobs and is likely to generate thousands more indirect jobs.
