§ Mrs. Beckett[holding answer 19 February 1998]: ECGD has guaranteed two loans valued at US$530m and £13.4m for a contract for Hawk aircraft made with the Indonesian Government in 1993 and one loan valued at £280m in respect of a further contract made in 1996.
The total value of ECGD's guarantees, which cover interest as well as the principal value of the loans, is £467m in respect of the loans relating to the 1993 contract and £362m in respect of the loan relating to the 1996 contract.
