§ Mrs. Beckett[holding answer 19 February 1998]: As I stated in my earlier answer, on 24 November 1997, Official Report, column 416, the Export Control Organisation of my Department does not record the average length of time it takes for an export licence application to be issued. However, it does monitor its performance against published targets which are fully detailed in my previous answer.
