The Attorney-GeneralThe Serious Fraud Office aims to deter fraud and maintain confidence in UK business and financial institutions through effective investigation and Prosecution of serious and complex fraud. Since 5 April 1997, the SFO has prosecuted 36 defendants, of whom 34 have been convicted.
