§ Dr. David ClarkFor this purpose, the Cabinet Office includes the Prime Minister's Office and the Office of Public Service and its executive agencies. Grades 1–5 were replaced by the Senior Civil Service on 1 April 1996. One civil servant of grade 3 and above has resigned; none have retired before pensionable age; and five have moved to different responsibilities within my Department since 1 May 1997. The civil servant who resigned was responsible to me and, of those moving, three were responsible to me and two to the Prime Minister.
