§ Mrs. Liddell[holding answer 5 February 1998]: I refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster to my hon. Friend the Member for City of Durham (Mr. Steinberg) on 10 February 1998, Official Report, column 116. The figures in the table are estimates of average days of sickness absence per member of staff for the financial years requested, and may not therefore be consistent with the published figures, which are on a calendar year basis.
