§ Mr. Ian McCartneyThe European Commission issued a White Paper on the sectors and activities excluded from the Working Time Directive on 15 July last year. The White Paper was discussed by the Social Affairs Council on 15 December. As yet, the Commission has made no formal proposals to extend working time controls to the excluded sectors and activities.
