§ Angela EagleSince 1 May 1997(a) two senior civil servants have retired before pensionable age, (b) no central record is kept of official leave taken, (c) no senior officers have been dismissed, (d) 14 senior staff have changed jobs within the Department largely as a result of the merger of the Departments of the Environment and of Transport which took place in June 1997, (e) 1 senior officer has moved to another Department (f) no senior officers have formally been offered and rejected posts in either this Department or any other Department.
