To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many officer vacancies exist in TA centres in North Wales; what proportion this represents of total officer positions in North Wales; and what is the shortfall of officers in each TA centre in North Wales. [63653]

[holding answer 14 December 1998]: There are 49 established officer posts in TA centres in North Wales, of which currently 7 are not filled. TA Officer posts not filled in each TA Centre in North Wales are:

  • Hightown Wrexham: 3
  • Colwyn Bay: 1
  • Queensferry: 1
  • Bangor: 1
  • Prestatyn: 1.
