To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many Swiss investment exchanges carry out investment business in the United Kingdom. [64626]

With effect from today, the Swiss Exchange (SWX), having satisfied the conditions under sections 37 and 40 of the Financial Services Act 1986, has been granted recognition as an Overseas Investment Exchange. The Swiss Exchange is therefore able to carry out investment business in the UK.
