§ Ms Estelle MorrisMusic and art remain National Curriculum foundation subjects and continue to be taught in all schools. In addition, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Education and Employment has asked the National Advisory Committee on Creative and Cultural Education to make recommendations on how we might identify, encourage and nurture creativity in young people. The Committee will be taking a close look at the arts in schools as part of its work.
