§ Clare ShortWe have committed £62 million to Montserrat in emergency and development assistance since the volcanic crisis began in 1995. We are increasingly moving away from crisis management and are working with the Government of Montserrat to agree a sustainable development plan so that the north of the island is able to meet the needs of those remaining on the island.
