§ Mr. MilburnWe are currently considering whether general practitioners should be allowed to prescribe insulin injection pen needles on the National Health Service. As I announced on 20 November 1997,Official Report, column 529, I have asked officials in the Department to examine, in discussions with interested parties if necessary, whether we can be more certain on the costs. They have held a number of meetings with the major suppliers.
