§ Mr. Ian McCartneyThe Data Protection Act 1984, which regulates the use of computerised data, applies to personal data of employees. The Data Protection Bill now before Parliament strengthens the protection provided by the 1984 Act consistent with the requirements of the 1995 EC Data protection Directive.
