§ Mr. Jim Cunningham
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what measures he is considering as part of his review of those powers which are available to local planning authorities, to intervene in neighbour disputes caused by excessively high garden boundaries; and when he expects the review to be complete.
§ Angela Eagle
There is no general review of the powers available to local planning authorities to control excessively high garden boundaries.
We are, however, considering whether Government intervention in relation to leylandii and other high hedges is necessary.
