§ Ms JowellThis publication which has just been received, is being studied with interest. The White Paper "The New NHS" outlines a number of steps which we will be taking to improve the consistency of service provision throughout the National Health Service. We will challenge and address variations not based on health needs and wishes of local people. We will aim for maximum consistency while still allowing appropriate local and individual responsiveness.
