§ Ms Estelle MorrisThe Department maintains a list of non-maintained special schools and independent schools approved as suitable for children with special education needs. The Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexia (CReSTeD) maintains a register of schools that help dyslexic children. The majority of children with dyslexia will be educated in their local maintained school with appropriate additional support.
