§ Mr. Tom ClarkeSpending by overseas visitors in the United Kingdom in the last three years is estimated to be (a) £11.8 billion in 1995, (b) £12.4 billion in 1996 and (c) £12.7 billion in 1997. Overseas visitors' spending in 1997 was some 15 per cent. higher in real terms (taking account of inflation) than in 1994.
