§ Mr. Banks[holding answer 1 April 1998]: The English Sports Council has received a total of 413 applications for this round of the Sportsmark scheme, 363 for Sportsmark award and 50 for Sportsmark Gold. This includes applications from special schools. The applications are currently being considered and we hope to announce in June those schools which have been successful.
