§ Mrs. RocheOn the basis of the Commission's proposals and the latest Eurostat statistics, it appears likely that Merseyside will be eligible for Objective 1 from 2000. The Commission has not made proposals on funding levels for individual regions. When they do, we will want them to be fair and affordable.
