§ Mr. MichaelOur comprehensive strategy against crime includes a new statutory duty on local authorities and the police to develop local partnerships to prevent crime and promote community safety. This will benefit all parts of the country: rural as well as urban and inner city by targeting the specific problems and needs of each area.
