To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what progress is being made on the review of the roads in Wales programme; and when he expects to make an announcement on the outcome. [12393]

The consultation period on the review of the trunk road programme ended on 31 October. Two hundred trunk road representations have been received and these are being assessed. It is too early to say when I will be in a position to make an announcement on the outcome of the review.
