to ask the Secretary of State for Health what percentage of patients discharged following(a) surgery of all kinds, (b) cataract operation, (c) appendectomy, (d) prostatectomy, (e) hysterectomy and (f) total hip replacement in each NHS trust, were subsequently readmitted to hospital as an emergency within 28 days of the discharge in each of the last three years.
