To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what proportion of employed adults receive(a) family credit and (b) disability working allowance. [18984]

Mr. Roger Evans

The proportion of the employed workforce in December 1995 receiving family credit was 3 per cent. A negligible proportion received disability working allowance.
