To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what bids into the single regeneration budget from the London borough of Waltham Forest have been successful in each year since the SRB was established. [18081]

Since the single regeneration budget was introduced the London borough of Waltham Forest has attracted funding for the following bids1995–96: South Leytonstone Community Partnership Lea Bridge - A Gateway to Opportunity. 1996–97: Towards Employability - A Strategy for Schools in Waltham Forest.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what has been the expenditure of the Waltham Forest housing action trust in each year since it was set up; and what is its expected final total spending. [18080]

Waltham Forest housing action trust has received grant in aid as follows:

  • 1991–92: £0.5 million
  • 1992–93: £11.8 million
  • 1993–94: £25.0 million
  • 1994–95: £36.7 million
  • 1995–96: £34.0 million
  • 1996–97: £20.9 million (Estimate)

Waltham Forest HAT has been asked to base its future plans on a total lifetime grant in aid figure not exceeding £227 million.
