§ Mr. BurtThe Department of Social Security has set up two agencies since April 1992. The total cost of setting up the Child Support Agency was approximately £146 million which includes the cost of the work transferred from the Benefits Agency, the costs of computers, accommodation, recruitment and training of staff in the administration of new legislation.
