To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many payments were made under the arable area payments scheme in 1996 of(a) £0 to £1,000, (b) 1,000 to £5,000,(c) £5,000 to £10,000, (d) £10,000 to £15,000, (e) £15,000 to £20,000, (f) £20,000 to £25,000, (g)£25,000 to £30,000, (h) £30,000 to £40,000, (i) £40,000 to £50,000, (j) £50,000 to £75,000, (k) £75,000 to £100,000, (l) £100,000 to £200,000, (m) £200,000 to £500,000, (n) £500,000 to £1 million, (o) £1 million to £1.5 million and (p) £1.5 million to £2 million.
