§ Mr. Dafis
To ask the Prime Minister what measures have been taken during the past five years to improve the energy efficiency of 10 Downing Street; at what point on the National Home Energy Rating Scheme 10 Downing Street lies; and what future measures are planned to increase its energy efficiency.
§ The Prime Minister
Over the past five years, the Cabinet Office Estate, including 10 and 11 Downing Street, has had in place a programme to maximise energy efficiency and minimise waste. A reduction of 15 per cent. in energy consumption has been achieved over the period. The programme of work in support of increasing energy efficiency will continue.527W
