§ Mr. Page[holding answer 27 January 1997]: Most of the large number of White Papers, Green Papers, consultation papers, draft regulations and circulars my Department was responsible for publishing in 1996 have the potential for direct or indirect significant environmental effects. However, central records are not kept which classify such documents according to any environmental effects. Therefore this information could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
