§ Mr. ForthInvitations to the "Going GM" conference in Warrington on 21 October 1996 were sent to head teachers and chairmen of governors of all LEA-maintained primary and secondary schools in Cheshire, Knowsley, Liverpool, St. Helens, Sefton, Wirral, Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan and Lancashire; 118 delegates attended the conference, 90 representing primary schools and 28 representing secondary schools.
The conference cost around £3,500 to organise and £10,700 to run on the day.
