§ Mr. Clappison[holding answer 20 February 1997]: The available information on allocations for expenditure on social housing stock made by the government for the years 1990–91 to 1996–97 is set out in the table. Some of the resources allocated through the single regeneration budget challenge fund and city challenge will be used for investment in social housing but this element is not separately identified in the allocations made. Corresponding figures on a comparable basis for other OECD countries are not available.
