§ Mr. Robert B. JonesGrant in aid to the British Waterways Board is being increased by £1.233 million for 1996–97 to enable it to carry out additional major repairs to the canal network and other urgent maintenance. This increases the British Waterways Board's external financing limit to £51.033 million. It will be funded by savings on the vote and therefore does not represent an increase in public expenditure.
