§ Mr. MaloneThe total amount directly reimbursed to general practitioners from public funds towards the costs of computerization in the financial year 1995–96 was
624W£64 million1. Information on the apportionment of these costs between fundholders and other GPs is not available centrally.
The figures previously provided to the hon. Member on 2 April, Official Report, columns 175–76, include reimbursements for the costs of computers to support GP fundholding as shown in table 13 of the departmental report published in March 1996.
