To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will ensure that the new Advisory Committee on Resource Allocation introduces a factor to take account of particular problems faced by islands. [21371]

We have asked the Advisory Committee on Resource Allocation to consider whether further investigation in this area would be useful.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what criteria the Government use to measure the adequacy of NHS funding. [21372]

The Government have made a commitment in our election manifesto to raise spending on the National Health Service in real terms every year so that we can deliver our manifesto commitments and produce a health service that is modern and dependable.
