To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what plans he has to extend the Sportsmark scheme to primary schools. [21018]

Mr. Chris Smith

We have no plans to extend the Sportsmark scheme to primary schools. However, the English Sports Council are currently working on plans to introduce an Activity award for primary schools.
