To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what steps he will take to encourage the timeous completion of the channel tunnel rail link. [19435]

Under the CTRL Development Agreement, London and Continental Railways are contractually committed to completing the rail link within five and a half years of their securing the main financing of the project.
