To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he intends to make the Financial Services Authority responsible for giving advice to and monitoring the performance of financial institutions in relation to money laundering; and what resources he will make available for this purpose. [20122]

We intend that the FSA's statutory objectives should include monitoring, detecting and preventing financial crime. The FSA is funded by charges on the industry.
