To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects the inspectors' report into Stockport UDP to be published. [73]

The inspectors' report on objections to the Stockport unitary development plan is expected to be delivered to the council at the end of December this year. It will then be for the council to decide when to publish the report. I have asked the Planning Inspectorate's chief executive to write to the hon. Member.

Bennett, dated 25 October 1996: The Secretary of State for the Environment has asked me to reply to your question about the Inspector's report from the public inquiry into the Stockport Unitary Development Plan.
