§ Mr. MacleanI understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that a recent review of the Metropolitan police central support services has recommended replacing the current full-time civilian Metropolitan police band with a less expensive alternative. Following a consultation period, the Commissioner will discuss this and other recommendations with his senior colleagues. Final proposals are expected shortly.
