§ Mrs. GillanThe 16 innovative drug education and prevention projects supported under the Department's grants for education support and training programme in 1995–96 have been independently evaluated. The Department intends to publish a booklet later this year summarising the findings. One project, in Kirklees local education authority, dealt with, among other things, an evaluation of a pilot of the DARE—drug abuse resistance education—programme.
In addition, the Office for Standards in Education is undertaking a specific study of provision for drug education in schools during this academic year. A report will be published shortly.
