§ Mr. ClappisonThe financial statements in the Environment Agency's annual report and accounts for 1995–96 were audited by auditors appointed by the Secretary of State. We are satisfied from the auditors' report that the funds of the agency were properly and well managed. The Secretary of State laid the annual report and accounts before Parliament in July 1996.
