To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what percentage of(a) primary and (b) secondary school pupils have access to the Internet through a computer in their school. [1172]

This information is not currently available, but a forthcoming survey of information technology provision in schools in Northern Ireland will provide the information in April 1997. I will write to the hon. Member at that time.
